Crosslaufcup Final Frohnleiten 2026

Last Sunday the Crosslaufcup 2025/26 came to an end in Frohnleiten after a total of nine stages in Styria, Carinthia and Lower Austria, with bright sunshine and spring-like temperatures. The event at the sport and leisure park was, as always, excellently organized by the TriRun Team Frohnleiten around Michael Senft and his team.

For runninGraz, 6 children from the runninGraz Kids Academy and 7 adults started in the finale. Manuel Wollendorfer took 2nd MU8 (born 2020), Frida Laux 2nd WU10, Paul Losehand 1st MU10, Henrik Tappeiner 3rd MU10 and Moritz Laux 2nd MU12 — all podium places in their age groups. Also worth mentioning is Luise Losehand, who finished 6th in her age group in her first cross-country race.

Next came the short distance over 3,400 m. There our Anna Stepan, after an exciting final sprint against Sarah Längle from Running Team Lannach, took the victory. Additional podium places in the age groups were secured by Jakob Sprügl and Florian Lang, as well as by our cross-country stalwart Romeo Ried.

Finally the long distance of 8,500 m was on the program. There were further podium places for our club thanks to Anna Stepan — who clearly wasn't satisfied with just the short distance — as well as Christof Kern and Robert Lang.

At the award ceremony, all age groups and the teams were also honored in the overall cup standings. Here too there were age-group wins by Paul Losehand MU10, Florian Lang MU20 and Romeo Ried M60; second places by Anna Stepan W23, Krisztian Bodnar M23, Christian Zorko M40 and Christof Kern M55; and third places by Henrik Tappeiner MU10, Jakob Sprügl MU20 and Christian Winter M35.

In the team ranking our club finished 2nd behind PSV LE Laufevent Futureteam. The prize money thus earned will go to benefit our Kids Academy.

There will now be a break from cross-country running for the time being, before the new season starts in autumn.
